What we check
We calculate both horoscopes in full, then weigh the four things a Kerala astrologer looks at before advising a family:
- Star porutham: the ten poruthams (rasi, rasyadhipa, vasya, mahendra, gana, yoni, dina, stree deergha, rajju and vedha), each with its reason.
- Papa samyam: the balance of malefic strength between the two charts.
- Chovva dosham and its samyam: whether the dosha is present, and whether it is cancelled.
- Dasa sandhi: whether both people change dasa at about the same time.
Then one conclusion that brings these together (excellent match, good match, horoscopes match, or not matching) with the reasons written out.
A dosha is one factor among many, and it is often cancelled by another. We never use frightening language, and the final decision always belongs to your family.
