Privacy policy

Jathaka Vani Astro Solutions LLP (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use jathakavani.in and the Jathaka Vani app, and how we handle it, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, e-mail address and/or mobile number, and the sign-in provider you use. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, e-mail and profile picture from them.
• Profile picture: if you upload or take one, or keep the one from your sign-in account.
• Birth details: name, gender, date, time and place of birth of each person you order a report for.
• Orders and payments: what you bought, the amount, and the payment reference from the gateway. Card and bank details stay with the payment gateway; we never receive them.
• Agent details: business name, contact person, phone, address and GSTIN, if you apply as an agent.
• Support messages you send us.
• Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser, time) kept for security.

Why we use it

• To make, deliver and store your reports, and send your receipts.
• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To answer support requests and fix problems.
• To meet legal and accounting duties.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. The public website uses no advertising or tracking cookies; the app uses a session cookie to keep you signed in.

Who else handles it

We use trusted service providers only as needed to run the service: our hosting provider, Google Firebase (sign-in and OTP), the payment gateway (Cashfree or Razorpay), and our e-mail provider. Each receives only what it needs.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and reports while your account is open, so you can download reports again. Payment records are kept for the period accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by writing to support@jathakavani.in. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your reports; records we must keep by law are retained only for that purpose.

Children

Parents and guardians may order reports for their children. We use a child’s birth details only to make the report requested.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), stored on secured servers and backed up daily. Access is limited to our team members who need it.
